On the Trails
Depending upon which trail you are exploring you may see outcrops of bedrock called the Waterville Formation and the similar Mayflower Hill Formation, both part of the Vassalboro Group of Rocks. You may also see glacial deposits, such as erratics, till and float.
Look for signposts along the trails with QR codes. Scan the codes and you will hear information about the geology at that part of the trail.
