Description
Teaming with local flora and fauna, the Oxbow Trail offers visitors an easy, quick and very rewarding walk through a diverse landscape, ranging from pine trees to wetlands. Visitors will have chances to stroll through a short loop that follows the Messalonskee Stream, taking them past a large variety of wildflowers, trees, and other plants native to Maine. Wildlife is abundant, with birds, amphibians, and a variety of fish inhabiting the quaint area of land known as the Oxbow Trail.
Getting There
Park at the northern end of the Lutheran Church lot (36 Cool Street) and head down the gravel path.

Distant parts are not accessible at high water. Trail gets very muddy during winter and early spring.
