Description
The Messalonskee School Trails are located between Messalonskee High School and Middle School. Our rich trails have the beauty of a pine grove, multiple streams with footbridges, a small pond, and remnants of an apple orchard from an old farm. Our trails have four Log Bench Learning Centers that are easily reached by both schools and the public. Trails offer varied terrain of winding forested pathways with some small hills.
Getting There
The Messalonskee School Trails can be accessed from: 1. Pleasant St, at the entrance of Williams Elementary School and Messalonskee Middle School. The trailhead is at the back of Middle School; and 2. Oak Street at the entrance of Messalonskee High School, entering the trail at two places from the Athletic Facility.
